2018 People’s Choice Award – AIA East Tennessee

This project consolidated all LCUB utility operations—electric, gas, water, and sewer—into a single, efficient operations campus. The development includes a central administration office and an operations warehouse designed to support critical utility services.

The scope included comprehensive site planning along with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering services. The campus supports office and warehouse functions, a county employee fuel filling station, a dedicated generator building, and enhanced security systems for mission-critical operations.

Through a public-private partnership, the project also incorporates a community events venue designed for year-round use. The design carefully balances daily utility operations with evening and weekend events, minimizing impacts on adjacent residential areas while maintaining security, functionality, and operational efficiency.
