Project Manager / Project Architect

Position: Project Manager / Project Architect
Location: Knoxville, Tennessee

MBI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Architect and Project Manager to join our Architectural Design team. In this role, you will leverage your talent and experience to bring unique solutions to projects for our diverse client base. A successful candidate must be capable of managing projects from start to finish, have a working knowledge of Autodesk Revit software, and experience with client management. Candidates will be responsible for assembling, updating, and maintaining Revit models, creating contract documents, and providing construction administration until project completion.

• Manage clients and project team to determine requirements for projects including program, budget, schedule, and quality control from concept design through construction.
• Maintain project manual and specifications.
• Facilitate communication between project team, clients, consultants, contractors, and authority having jurisdiction.
• Conduct and document site visits, process submittals and RFIs during construction.
• Manage multiple tasks, projects, and schedules.
• Facilitate the resolution of project issues.
• Mentor and grow younger staff members.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.
• Architecture license preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with project management, computer modeling, and document production in a commercial design firm.
• Proficient with Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of Enscape and Lumion preferred.
• Working knowledge of building codes and permitting processes.
• Excellent communication both written and verbal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prepare and deliver presentations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and relationship management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with LEED and sustainable design practices is a plus.
