- Civil Engineering Professional Engineer (P.E.)
MBI Companies, a multi-discipline firm, is seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Engineering Professional Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Department. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with clients, lead project teams, and play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of civil/site development projects.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead civil engineering design efforts for industrial, municipal, and commercial development projects.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring project goals are met.
- Manage and coordinate site design projects including grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and erosion control.
- Provide technical oversight and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of civil design and construction documents.
- Coordinate with internal multi-discipline teams, Project Managers, and leadership to deliver projects efficiently.
- Perform peer reviews of civil engineering work and provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff.
- Assist with proposals, including scope development, construction cost estimates and fee proposals, schedules, and project constraints.
- Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings during construction administration.
- Conduct site observations, field investigations, and prepare technical reports and studies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and permitting requirements.
- Participate in workload planning, department standards development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support business development efforts through client engagement, marketing, proposal development, and staff recruitment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in civil/site design.
- Proven experience managing clients and leading project teams.
- Strong knowledge of site development, municipal infrastructure, and land development practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Operates Computer Aided Design (CAD) computer system, including creating, updating and modifying engineering drawings, and Microsoft Office products.
Organizational Relationships
- Reports to: Principal Engineer, however, may receive direction from Senior Sign Designer and other CAD Technicians.
- Directs: Works closely with building regulating agencies, sign companies, and sign installers.

MBI is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Senior level Electrical Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering team. In this role, you will leverage your talent and experience to bring unique solutions to projects for our diverse client base. A successful candidate will perform a variety of work in the initial planning and design phase of equipment, systems, facilities, infrastructure, or processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide design support on facility and infrastructure design projects.
- Provide review and mark up of electrical design packages.
- Effectively lead electrical design efforts on moderate to large projects.
- Aid in administrative tasks (i.e., proposal writing, workload forecasting, etc.)
- Study design criteria, codes, and standards and incorporate required design practices into production of design deliverables.
- Develop conceptual and detailed designs for facilities and infrastructure projects based on scope of project, design criteria and applicable codes and standards.
- Assist with gathering field data to support development of design deliverables.
- Review and observe construction on projects to verify compliance with design deliverables (e.g., RFI responses, progress observation reports, etc.).
- Duties to include specifications, calculations, studies, reports, shop drawing review, construction administration, and training/development.

MBI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Architect and Project Manager to join our Architectural Design team. In this role, you will leverage your talent and experience to bring unique solutions to projects for our diverse client base.
A successful candidate must be capable of managing projects from start to finish, have a working knowledge of Autodesk Revit software, and experience with client management. Candidates will be responsible for assembling, updating, and maintaining Revit models, creating contract documents, and providing construction administration until project completion.
Responsibilities:
- Manage clients and project team to determine requirements for projects including program, budget, schedule, and quality control from concept design through construction.
- Maintain project manual and specifications.
- Facilitate communication between project team, clients, consultants, contractors, and authority having jurisdiction.
