Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • NCEES Record
  • 1+ years of related HVAC / Mechanical Engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience including internship time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have passed the FE exam or is planning on passing.
  • Experience with plumbing and fire protection systems, fundamentals of engineering thermo-fluids and psychometrics
  • HVAC, Plumbing and fire protection design experience
  • Proficient with AutoCAD
  • Experience with Revit
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Support the design and engineering of building heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, as well as, energy conservation and sustainability,
  • Design various mechanical systems and provisions of building services for commercial, institutional, municipal, industrial, and military facilities.
  • Perform surveys to ascertain conditions of existing facilities
  • Perform studies to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of design alternatives, and recommend alternatives for implementation
  • Develop designs for a wide variety of projects, as well as, providing services during the construction phase
  • Develop technical specifications, plans, elevations, section, and details
  • Prepare design related calculations
  • Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards / practices
  • Coordinate with other in-house architects, project managers, and engineering disciplines as needed.
  • Perform condition assessments, site visits, and construction inspections as needed
