MBI served as an architectural consultant to the lead design firm for the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority’s new parking garage and adjacent Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) and Snow Removal Equipment (SRE) facility. Working in support of the prime architect, MBI provided architectural and engineering expertise. As a result, they helped deliver a cohesive and efficient solution for the airport’s expanding infrastructure needs.
The project enhances both public-facing and operational components of the airport campus. Improvements increase parking capacity while strengthening emergency response, airfield safety, and winter operations. MBI’s involvement focused on coordinating complex building systems and integrating structural, site, and operational requirements across the facilities.
The completed development supports long-term serviceability, safety, and growth for Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport. Meanwhile, it maintains seamless functionality within an active aviation environment.
