The Mahlon Miller Science Center project involved a comprehensive exterior rehabilitation of a two-story academic building with an approximate footprint of 29,870 square feet. The scope focused on restoring and enhancing the building envelope while improving long-term durability and performance.

The renovation included the addition of decorative front and rear tower elements totaling approximately 150 square feet. These tower additions feature load-bearing masonry construction with brick and steel structural components and reinforce the building’s architectural presence. The average building eave height is approximately 29 feet.

Exterior improvements also included extensive roof and wall system upgrades. The project added new TPO roofing, reconstructed roof structure, and installed new roof coverings. Approximately 18,000 square feet of existing brick façade was removed and replaced with a modern cavity wall system to improve moisture control, insulation, and building performance.
