MBI provided architectural, engineering, and interior design services to transform the 50-year-old former Southern Auto Body building into the new Keller Williams Downtown Chattanooga real estate office. The project revitalized an aging industrial structure while creating a modern, flexible workplace in an urban setting.

MBI remediated past environmental contaminants and reconfigured the site to provide much-needed parking within downtown Chattanooga. The existing 8,000 square feet of automotive garage bays were repurposed into large conference, training, and collaboration spaces. Original bay doors now open to an interior common “street” that connects a rear urban courtyard to the main entrance lobby.

The project also includes 16,000 square feet of newly constructed, multi-configurational office space designed to support growth and flexibility. Interior workspaces open to the outdoors through expansive aluminum-framed glazing set within industrial brick and metal finishes that reflect the building’s urban context.

The main entrance features Keller Williams’ signature red and black branding. Glass-enclosed conference rooms and clerestory windows allow natural light to flow throughout the building. Thoughtful space planning accommodates more than 250 staff across multiple Keller Williams agencies while supporting collaboration, training, and future expansion.
