Smith & Wesson’s new headquarters and production facility was constructed on a 236 acre property in Maryville, Tennessee. MBI companies were engaged by Blount County Partnership as Blount County competed with other locations during site selection. As a design-build, MBI was able to develop concepts for the undeveloped land to show the great potential that the Blount County site provided.
The project was master planned to include a customer experience center and shooting academy in future development phases. MBI was selected for architectural, interior, engineering, and construction services. This included selection and coordination of all FF&E items. The 662,000 SF facility, completed in 2024, included approximately 131,000 SF Class A office space, 136,000 SF of production space, and 235,000 SF of warehousing space.
