First Baptist Church of Knoxville engaged MBI to renovate the second floor of its existing education building to better serve children and families. The project included a comprehensive reconfiguration and interior upgrade of approximately 7,500 square feet.
The renovated space features new classroom layouts for children’s activities. It also includes welcoming common areas for children and parents, improved corridors, and expanded storage. A portion of the connector corridor between the education building and the sanctuary was updated with new finishes. This was done to create a cohesive design and visually connect the children’s areas to the broader campus.
The completed renovation delivers a safe, functional, and inviting learning environment. It supports children’s ministry programs while enhancing circulation and overall campus continuity.
