The ProNova Research & Development Building serves as the corporate headquarters and R&D facility for ProNova, LLC. It is located within the Pellissippi Place development in Alcoa, Tennessee. The 53,000-square-foot facility combines office, research, and manufacturing space. This supports the development and production of ProNova’s advanced proton therapy systems.
The building meets Pellissippi Place requirements for sustainable design. It was designed to achieve LEED Certified status. High-performance exterior envelope features include pre-finished insulated metal panels. It also has clerestory windows for daylight harvesting and a white TPO roof to improve energy efficiency. These features reduce heat gain.
The contemporary architectural design reinforces ProNova’s innovative brand. Meanwhile, it maintains a timeless aesthetic that connects visually to the company’s Dowell Springs campus. Both the building and site were planned for long-term growth and operational flexibility.
The manufacturing area allows for up to five future expansion phases without disrupting existing production. The office component also supports expansion, with the capacity to nearly triple its current square footage as the company grows.
